So this is the Yo Yo ride. LOVED by thousands of people and kids all over the world !!!! My kids ride it last weekend even. It collapsed yesterday at the Calavares County Fair.....24 people were hurt and THANK GOD no one died. My mom never liked me to ride these rides when I was little.....and now I know why !!!!!

So I guess that migraines run in the family. Wolfie came down with a bad one tonight. We were doing some work on the computer together and he started to not be able to see letters. He said he had sun spots and was having a hard time seeing. We gave him two Motrin and told him to get into bed. Well about 30 minutes later he came out in so much pain. We have him laying in our bed, with a wet rag on his forehead with the fan on. These headaches are just like Rob got when he was a kid. Mine are different with the way they come on. Poor Wolfie ! I hope this is the last one he ever had. If you have ever had a migraine.....you know what I'm talking about !

It's MayFair time again !!!! I'm posting this photo of Lexi from 2005...3 years ago. Ever since my hubby moved me back to this small town I get extreme joy of taking the kids to the MayFair !!! It's one of the oldest fairs in California ! My mil is the town Historian and I'm sure I could get exact dates from her but heck the Zipper is waiting along with a rolled taco and cotton candy ! No time to waste !!!

The kids get out of school early today and then it's a MAD MAD MAD rush to get them fed a decent lunch and then head out to the fair to get a decent parking spot and the kids INSTANTLY on rides and hooked up wtih their friends !!!! It's all GOOD !!!!

Last night the B-52's played and with the way the sound works in this little town they might of been in my backyard or at least down the street !! Love shack BABY !!!!

Track and field meet's started this week. They are really fun and long events. Wolfie is doing the high jump, hurdles and tried the long jump today. Yes, I know it's back to the dot.com but I haven't been posting on a regulator basis. So deal with it !!! Life is good, busy and insane all at the same time. There's softball, flag football, girl scouts, track and field and that includes the practices and games. It's fun but seriously last night.....FREEZING......out at the ball park !!!! We all looked like frozen ice pops !

My niece is home for the weekend for UC Davis Picnic Day. The Humboldt marching band she's in was in the parade for Picnic Day. We meet up with her and her boyfriend Shaun for lunch at Chipolte.

Well it's official and opening night/day was last night. Lexi's playing girls softball for the first time. They are GREEN, LEAN AND MEAN !!! LOL It should be a fun season !!!!!

Here's Lexi and a few of her dude buddies !!!! She really adores them !!!!

Lexi partied so hard at the opening season event......that she got a bad case of the stomach flu Friday night. Once I got home from bunco.....poor girl woke up at 1:30 AM and was up every 30 minutes or so !!!! She feels better today but is going to take is easy so she's ready for the bunny tomorrow !!! Hope you all have a great Easter !!!!

When Tam and I headed to the Santee Alley's in August of 2007 we saw a guy there. He was walking right down the middle of the alley and everyone was saying hello to him. I could not help but notice his feet. They were like nothing I ever saw before. He had a very obvious birth defect. I felt so sad for him and his feet. The entire day I could not stop thinking about him and hoped that people were kind and nice to him.

Well just two weeks ago when Tam and I were there again I was saying that if we saw him again it would be a miracle. So I asked one of the girls that works in the Alleys if she knew him and she nodded to her right and said "Him?" and there he stood. He was standing right in the middle of the Alleys asking for money. He wears handmade shoes. Tam and I went up to him and talked to him. He spoke pretty decent English. He told us his name. I told him that I saw him 7 months ago and had always wondered how he was. He told us that his parents may have been able to get surgery for him when he was a young child but they never did.

He was one of the sweetest guys I have talked to in a long time. Very gracious and genuine. He seemed very touched that we actually took the time to talk to him. Tam and I want to write to Oprah or a major shoe company and see if we can get custom shoes for him. He told us he's okay but begging is the only way he can make money. Of course we helped him out.

I don't post these photos to mock or make fun. I walked away from him this last time with my eyes filled with tears. We walk each day taking for granted our own life's and the people in our life. We don't take the time to walk in other peoples shoes. Sergio is a perfect example of walking in someone shoes. Take a minute to appreciate what you have and help others.

Birthdays are not just one day anymore !! It's like a week or a weekend ! Lexi was star of the week last week and that meant taking different things into her class last week. Then our Saturday started off with Lexi's basketball game. She did great and had some nice moves !!

Then it went to getting the house cleaned up for a BBQ. I truly wish my house was 4X the size or my kids would both have summer birthdays !!! It's hard in the winter to have more than about 2 families over for a BBQ inside the house. Rob and I love to have big parties (Well maybe I do more than Rob LOL) and be able to invite every single person in our town over ! We had a few parties last summer and since our backyard is HUGE I think the most we have had is close to 60....no problem !!! Winter dinners tend to be one or two families max......bummer !!!! We need to convert the garage to a REC ROOM !!! Rob can you get on that ? LOL

Anyway Wolfie had his basketball game at noon. He played GREAT and had some awesome moves. Unfortunately for their team their baskets could not land and the other teams did. They lost by only 10 but it was a great game. Oh yeah and Wolfie fouled out !!! WOW......as the great philospher said "You can't take them home with you" Way to go BOI !!!!! It's the first time he's ever fouled out !!!! It was a fun game !!!!

After Wolfies game , Lexi got a nice nap in ! Then around 5pm or so a few peeps came over for Lexi's favorite tri tip bbq. It was a fun night of ROCK BAND (Thanks Shaun for coming down and bringing it ) , dog fights, old vine zin, bbq, cabo wabo t, random rain showers and lots of snacks !

The night ended around 1AM after a viewing of Lexi's Bee Movie......I should of taken a shot of the bodies sleeping on the living room floor !!!! All in all a great night and Lexi went to sleep happy ! Thanks to everyone who stopped by to wish Lexi a nice birthday !!!!

It's Lexi's birthday today ! Whoot !!!! I think I blinked and somehow 8 years have passed and my little girl is getting older !!! Lexi can have moments of being a DRAMA MAMA for sure.....but for the most part she's such a sweet sweet little girl. She still holds my hand, tells me she loves me, wants to cuddle, calls me mama ! She cares about others, composes her own songs, she loves her animals and even her big brother.

Morning Folks !!!! Good luck getting me home from this place !!! I just want to keep driving around each corner to see what's around it !!! We had a GREAT (Although BK might say LONG) day yesterday !!!! I got to stand on the beach at sunset, take photos and watch the sun set....heaven !!! Live Blogging From L.A.

I'm sitting here with Lexi at the Farmers Daughter Hotel L.A. Tam and BK are still snoozing !They have a Mac in the lobby that anyone can use. HEAVEN !!!! We just had to get up and find some breakfast ! Lexi loves to eat the second she wakes up. This hotel is edgy and urban. We went to L.A. Ink yesterday but Kat was in New York but the skate ramp is just like they show on the television. We also went to the Alleys and did a little shopping and finished our dat at the Grove, American Girl Place for shopping and dinner. We then walked all around and finished our night at Pinkberry !!!

As we were falling asleep , while Kendall was WOUND up running around in the dark of the hotel room, Lexi said to me "Mama I love L.A. "

Tam, BK, Lexi and myself are leaving tomorrow for a fun filled TWO nights in the city of angels. The last time Tam and I were in L.A. there were times I could hardly drive on the freeway , we were laughing so hard, eyes filled up with laughter tears and the GPS lady (We called her HELEN) was just rambling away. Helen hold up girl ! and let the humor die down and then please direct us to the ever so familier smell of the Santee Alleys. Do you need a visual here people ? LOL

I will be taking my D80 and trying to get some cool shots of the various strange things you can buy in the alley's. I will also be live "Twittering" for anyone who wants to keep minute by minute tabs and needs to know where I might be any any moment !

Okay we are watching the guys. Here's my re-cap.

1) Luke....He choose a Wham song. NO NO NO Now I loved me some WHAM in the 80's but this is a "light" song and although he's got a great smile I think the judges won't like it.

2) David A.......Age 17 people !!!........Phil Collins song right ? I think he's got a beautiful voice ! I loved his version !

3) Danny.......Bye Bye Danny....that's all I'm saying.......

4) David H.....I actually love this song.....I thought he did a great song and he can BELT it out !!! He's in the top 3 !

5) Michael Johns......Total CLASSIC 80's song Don't You Forget About Me ! He's got a great voice and IMO is in the top 3 guys !

6) David......"Rocker Guy" Oh my......Weird......I don't know what to think about this guy.....I never really liked Lionel Ritchey songs.....

7) Jason......I love this guys voice !!!!! He's in the top 3 for me !!!!

8) Chickeze.......He can be really smooth.....I think he will come in either 4th or 5th in the competition......

Overall the guys did a really great job this week !!! I think that Luke or Danny will be gone this week.....What do you think ?

What makes Rob laugh ?

So most people that know Rob knows that his serious meter is about a 7-8 on a scale of 1-10. The kids and I found something that really makes him chuckle. At the end of American Idol Ryan Seacrest thanks the judges and ALWAYS and on PURPOSE skips thanking Simon. It's funny but it CRACKS Rob up to the point of his eyes were misty tonight from laughing !!!!!!!

It actually is pretty funny !!!! Have you seen it ?

So Lexi and I tried to take Bella to Petco for her shots. Yeah, we are a bit behind the time frame for doing this but better late than never. We are the 3rd people to get in there for the shot clinic at 10AM sharp. Bella is FREAKING out. Whining, whimpering, crying, barking and howling. I tried every single trick in the book to get her to quiet down. I had her in a shopping cart with her towel down on there. She was trying to her best to get out and I had a choke hold on her collar. I have never seen a dog flip out so bad. I reached deep, deep down and tried to "channel" Ceasar Milan and his bag of tricks. She was flipped. Everyone was starring at Lexi and I. I felt like I had a toddler with me who was having the worst meltdown ever.

I finally wrapped her in the towel, with her face covered and we left. NO SHOTS !!!!!! We left in shame and humiliation !!!! LOL

I'm going to just have to take her to the local vet.........oh well.....it was a total experience and I never want to re-live it again. So a few things on my to do list for Bella:

1) get her shots

2) get her fixed

3) sign her up for training

Hey where did the sun and spring go ? It's just not right to have the rain back again !

I was trying to upload a photo of the girl scout cookies that have come in .(Edit: Yeah I got it on) If you have ordered cookies from us THANK YOU ! We will be delivering them in the next few days. We are supposed to do site sales at our local grocery store but the rain is going to have to stop in order to get out there !!! LOL

So what else is going on. Basketball is going great for Wolfie and Lexi. The games are lots of fun. Rob almost loses his voice at Lexi's games from "instructing" the girls so they can hear him in between all the whistles, other teams playing and our girls not hearing him !! LOL He's drinking hot tea now to sooth his voice so he can still rOCK the praise band singing on Sunday mornings.

Work is great. It was a great move for me and even though we are UBER busy I love it.

I'm taking off to L.A. for a night in a few weeks. Going to do some GIRLIE bonding time with Tam, Kendall, Lexi and myself. Going to hit some Alley love, American Girl Place, Pinkberry, The GROVE and whatever other trouble we can find ! Any requests for purchases from the Alley will be taking in the next week !!! Did you think I was done using the cute .com for my blog titles ? Yeah, I still love that !!! What a nice busy weekend it's been so far. Saturdays for 10 weeks straight it's all about basketball. I love it so much !!! Yesterday I had been fighting getting a bad headache all week and woke up with one. I took my meds and stayed in bed. I missed Lexi's game but Coach Rob was there and Aunt Wendell. By the time they all got home, I was up and feeling better. Ready for the next game of the day.

Wolfie's team (Let's hear it for the No-Names) played a great game on Saturday. It was a nice win for them. I know it's not always about the wins.....but this one felt good.....It's amazing the parent support this team has. Grandparents and friends all there to cheer this AWESOME group of kids on. Not only are the coaches supportive and wonderfully patient with the kids but they teach them and work with them to be better players and kids. They don't yell or scream at them for no reason. There is purpose, teaching and a genuine love of them game they are sharing with these "No Names" ......

The day didn't end with basketball. Our God-Daughter Kendall turned 2 yesterday so her family came over and we had some BBQ, tri tip heaven, laughs and a yummy ELMO cake !!! Actually it was just an Elmo head. Not sure if they charge more for the whole body....but the head did taste good. There our more pics and fun at Flickr !

Today is sunny and should be a fine day. I do feel bad that we didn't make it to church today. The church is getting a new pastor and that's one of my goals for the new year....make it....be there and be with the kids there.....be present and show up....but just not for Sundays but for each year. Each person's spirtuality is a individual journey and we each have to be accountable in our own way.

I'm off to get some laundry going, open each of the drapes and let the sun in. Looks for a nice day for a picnic !!!!

Some sad stuff though going around our town.....HUGE/GINOURMOUS budget cuts are going to have a HUGE impact on the kids.teachers.school enviroment in the upcoming school year. It's going to find lots of my friends without employment and kids will be losing lots of VERY valuable resources. Very sad !

I found this on one of the photography blogs I read. I can soooo relate to this ? It's like I'm so busy and onto the next event during the day that the only time I have to update is at night.....it's crazy. The new job is really helping my schedule get back to normal though ! It's a good thing in many ways !

I also want to hear about YOU and how your life is going ? So get a blog, Twitter, Flickr and join the revolution. I have a MySpace....but I honestly hate it. It takes to long to load, I hate the ad's on there and all the MySpace drama. So Blogging is my love....So DO IT !!! GET ONE !

I'm also a total Flickr addict right now !!!! The new camera is so fun and I used my Bunco Birthday Money to buy a new lens, flash, camera bag and remote. OKAY so birthday bunco money didn't go that far....but my bank account made up for the difference !! My new lens should be in next week and I can't WAIT to use it !!! It's a Nikon 50 mm. Should be fun !

Well what a great Tuesday it was ! I got my hair done with Kitty !! I love sitting there, letting the weave process , under the warm spotlight lights , sitting in the air chair and then getting my hair washed !!!! It's heaven !!!!! The last 2 times I have been there, Kitty has had real cat issues. Last time one of the new baby kitties had fishing line wrapped around it's paw....INSTANT DRAMA......Luckily they got it off !!!! Today one of her kitties that just got fixed had something "hanging" out of it's insicision....OMG.....I really had to FOCUS not passing out with that one !!!

Other than that...life is good...how about you ?

The R family is really being put to the challenge for 10 weeks straight. Lexi's basketball games are all at 8am for 10 weeks straight......WOW !!!! Wish us luck with this one !!!!!

We have basketball today. We are going to go and watch Josh's game also. It's a division of 4 & 5 year olds. Should make for some great D80 photos !!!!

I'm also really excited to be a 4rd shooter at a "Grease is the Word" sock hop birthday party tonight. It's a 13th birthday party for 3 friends of Wolfie's. It's a costume party and should make for some wonderful photos !!!!

If you follow my Flickr photos you know that I went to the Doc a few weeks ago and got some meds for migraine's I have been having. They have been going on for a few years ago. I have put going to the Doctor off and finally had one of the worst ones I have ever had and went that day I got it. I got two samples of different meds. At the point I went to the Doc I was to far gone for these to really work so he suggested I try them next time. Well a week later I got a headache that would not go away with ibuprofen and I tried the new med. WOW headache gone in about 30 minutes. I woke up with another headache today.......took the meds and GONE !!!!

I can't believe I waited this long to get some relief from the headaches !!!!! So note to self...if you are having any aches and pains...go to the Doc.....you never know how you might be able to get relief ASAP !!!! Now if I could get my trick knee fixed !!!! hahaha

Speaking of knees......Think good wishes and send prayers to our friend Alisa as she's getting her knee operated on tomorrow !!!!

Well this pretty much sums it up !!!!! I think that Brad Miller is a cutie patootie....Especially when he smiles. He's got a twinke in his eye.......we got to check out a Kings Practice today. It was very cool and gave me lots of practice with my new camera. I got lots of blurry but the one of Brad above, with Mike Bibby in the back, is my fav of the day. Thanks Kim for hooking us up !!! We felt like royalty today !!!!

He's in the land of teens now....no going back....only going forward....so that thing that Rob and I know ? Were you still wondering about that ? Well each day is different, one day is always laughter and the next could induce serious attitude and pain. There is laughter and sound (especially clapping, Wolfie should be a sound man in Hollywood and clap for a living) and constant joking. We know he's got a serious love of reptiles, being in nature and going on road trips. For his birthday Wolfie really wanted a new baby. So on his actual birthday after all the "First Day of Basketball Stuff" we headed down to Berkeley to the East Bay Vivarium. He picked a Blue Tongue Skink and he's always wanted one. I swear this kids ALWAYS loved reptiles. I really hope as he grows older he can do something with this love of reps. So tonight I'm trying to clean up my bedroom so I turn on the TV to see what's on. I catch up on one episode of House Hunters International. I love that show and always try to guess which house they choose. Then I turn it to VH1 Scott Baio is 45 and Pregnant....have you seen this show ? WOW..the guy is a total selfish, head case and is not the Chauchi we knew and loved. He does have a few redeeming moments....but WOW......he's really something.

Then it leads right into Celebrity Detox with Dr. Drew. I really like Dr. Drew so I got sucked into this show. WOW OMG....these people are truly messed up. The guy Jeff Conway from Grease..goodness he's got issues. The other people on there are in a bit of denial and it will be interesting to see who stays and who goes.

Of course next Sunday the Brady show is back and I love that show. What is it about that guy ?

So now thanks to the fact that I had to clean my room.....I'm sucked into 3 new shows !!!

My baby boy turned 13 today.......after being stuck and needing a cesarian section.....BUBBA as the ob-gyn called him.....was born. All 9 pounds 2 ounces of him were ready to take on the world. The first night home from the hospital Rob and I just looked at each other and said "Now what ?" Well 13 years later we know the question to that answer......I will check back in later today with more on that subject !!!!

I got this letter from Apple when I was trying to get my laptop put all back together. All my iTunes songs were not backed up (Yes, I know that's why I got an external hard drive now) but since my hard drive , APPLE product, crashed....why would they NOT just let me have the songs back again ?

Okay this is going to be said in my BEST church lady voice....Welllll isn't that conveinant.....all those songs were no longer available to me anymore due to iTunes "modifying" or "deleting" them from iStore........Nice Apple..nice job !!!!!

So the world is now okay !!! I found my fridge calendar and now I can finally figure out what is going on day to day...of course I need to fill everything in.....but without it I was lost. Rob and I do a shard google calendar online. That way when he's at work planning stuff he can check it and see what's on there for the week....really handy....you should check it out if your hubby/partner and yourself both work and need to know what the heck is going on. I also put some stuff in my palm....but I tend to be an old school girl (even though I love TECHNOLOGY) and need to be able to see it all written out on paper !!!!!!!!

Lorraine and I went to see Juno last night. We asked Lou to go but he said he was to busy painting his man room and visiting with his dude neighbor friends...okay whatever Lou...last time we invite you on a girls movie night out...hahahahaha

I have to say it was a cute, eclectic, funky, independent, Sundance type of movie. It surprisingly had a serious topic of teenage pregnancy. The dialogue was great and quirky. I can totally see her winning an Oscar for her role. It's not like she was performed the Meryl Streep drama roll of 08....but she's good...you have to see it to really understand. Jason Bateman and Jennifer Gardner were also in it....Jason Batemans roll almost got a little to creepy but it all worked out in the end...I wish that the teenage boy had more of a roll in the movie...more lines...more scenes.....but it is what it is.....It was a little sad in the end and I really wanted to weep openly in the theatre....cause that's how I roll when I cry.....but I kept it together kinda and was able to walk out without my sunglasses on. :-)

wow....it packed a punch !

The winter storm blast of 08....really packed a punch. I even got to come home from work on Friday due to the electricity going out at work. The freeways on I-80 were INSANE and really scary to me. It came into town on Thursday night and I laid in bed praying that the big trees in our neighborhood would not come crashing down onto our house.....my prayer was answered about that but the fence in the backyard did come down in spots and took the orange tree out.....the fence is like 50 years old so it was time for a new one anyway. Rob and the neighbor had been rigging it for years to avoid putting a new one in.....at one point the neighbor wanted to put a brick wall the whole way down...not even the red brick's...but the gray ones....YIKES !!!!!

Rob will have another little project to do......but my man loves to putz, build and be one with nature in the backyard so I don't think he will mind it to much !!!!!

Took a last minute trip to the snow on New Years Eve, before the barn party that night. It was fun and we went to Soda Springs to let the kids tube. You can mosey on over to flickr for more snow fun and to see me fall on my butt.....
